FAQ

We have provided a list of answers to frequently asked questions below. For any other enquiry, please fill in our contact form or email singaporelelong@gmail.com.

1) How do I make a purchase?

Simply fill in the Purchase Form or email singaporelelong@gmail.com. We will respond to you within 3 days.

Note: If more than one buyers are interested in the same item, we will reserve the item for the buyer who can make the earliest payment.

2) How will I know if I have reserved an item successfully?

When you receive an SMS and/or email response from us, this means that the item has been reserved for you. Please note that full payment must be made within 2 days once your item has been reserved. Otherwise, the item will be released to the next buyer.

3) What are the modes of payment?

Our preferred mode is a bank transfer to POSB Savings (Account No: 010-84071-6) or UOB Uniplus (Account No: 324-382-668-1)

Alternatively, we accept cash on delivery.

4) When and where may I collect the item?

Most transactions are mainly done after 5pm at Bukit Panjang LRT Station or Bukit Panjang Plaza (few minutes walk from Bukit Panjang LRT or bus stop with services 171, 920, 922, 960, 963, 963E and 963R).

We also accept requests to collect at other venues. However, this depends on Singapore Lelong’s availability, and may subject to cash top up payment upon arrival (i.e. when we have to travel extensively by bus or train, thereby incurring extra 2-way transport costs.)

5) What if something last minute crops up, and I can’t be present to collect the item?

Unfortunately, we will have to release your item to the next eligible buyer, unless full payment has already been transferred to any of our bank accounts (refer to Point 3). We will then arrange for another collection date and time with you.

Please note that in this situation, delivery charges still apply if you have chosen delivery service as your mode of collection (refer to Point 6).

6) Do you provide delivery service?

  • Yes. Note that delivery services are only applicable for a minimum combined purchase of S$50. (Important: 50% non-refundable deposit must be made via bank transfer before the delivery is arranged.)
  • For delivery beyond 2 days from reservation date, full payment must be made via bank transfer before delivery is arranged. Otherwise, the item will be released to the next buyer. (Refer to point 2 above.) An official invoice will be emailed to you once payment is received.
  • For delivery within 2 days of reservation date, a 50% non-refundable deposit via bank transfer is required before delivery is arranged. An official invoice will be emailed to you once payment is received. The remaining 50% payment can be made by cash upon arrival.
  • If preferred, you may opt to make 100% full payment via bank transfer before delivery. An official quotation and transaction invoice will be emailed to you before and after payment respectively. This is the preferred choice of payment amongst buyers, as it is most convenient.
  • There will be an extra delivery charge, which consists of double the (taxi) transport cost taken to arrive at the delivery address. For example, if the taxi fare is SGD$7 upon arriving at the delivery address, the total delivery charge will be SGD$14 (double the original fare).
  • Delivery charge is capped at $30, unless otherwise stated (i.e. delivery of large and heavyweight items).
  • Delivery charge to be paid in cash upon arrival.
  • Upon delivery, we will also present you the original taxi fare receipt, in our bid for transparency with our buyer.
  • Please note that Singapore Lelong reserves the right to reject any delivery requests. This is in view of potential traffic problems which may inflate transport costs.
  • All deposits, payments and transactions are non-refundable.

7) What if I change my mind after I have made full payment, but have not yet collected the product? Can I get a refund?

We regret to inform you that all payments and transactions are non-refundable.

Please also note that for delivery services, the 50% deposit is non-refundable. (Refer to point 6 above.)
